As Stephen Hawking enjoyed his zero-gravity flight on the new Boeing 727, he said that:

"[Life on Earth was] at the ever-increasing risk of being wiped out by a disaster, such as sudden global warming, nuclear war, a genetically engineered virus or other dangers. The human race has no future if it doesn't go into space. I therefore want to encourage public interest in space."

It's true, but I think the solution is not to escape to space, but to fix our home, our only home. The human race has no future if we do not take care of what we already have.

話想睇好耐啦, 終於找到時間睇 ~~ 真的好好睇, 係 好好睇 ....... :)

起初真的不知道他們能將會說話的車變成怎樣的戲，但他們的無限創意真的令我無話可說... 技術上它的 CG 做到幾乎完美之外, 故事也寫得極奇地好, 簡直充滿詩意添... 好 meaningful...

今天病了, 突然很得閒看書, 有幾段特別印象深刻。

I am not a soldier, but this reminds me not to become a sentimental Christian, nor a coward student... Love, courage, wisdom - we need all three.

剛剛看完 An Inconvenient Truth..... 很大的說服力, 很強的感染力。Al Gore 走遍了全世界過千個城市, 將這真相公報天下, 有些令我覺得仿似環保界的使徒保羅。

再不採取行動去保護, 這世界很快就會生靈塗炭。老生常談, 可能會不以為然... 但數據這麼明確, 再不做一點東西, 人類就連後悔的機會都不會有。

My precious friend, I am just so glad that those words stroke a chord to whatever you're going through, and could give you any level of comfort or encouragement. There is really no need to say thank you.

In the end, God knows what's truly in our hearts, our every desire, our every motive behind every deed. He knows who truly loves Him, and who is just there pretending to love Him. So don't fret, because He is in control.

One thing I also learned, though, is that we humans all have our moments of weakness and selfishness... So let us not judge, but to be the light that shows the way it's supposed to be.

Our love is to be the difference to break a world indifferent.

廁所高見 之 二

又來了... 我勸大家, 考試時候, 要思考問題, 不防飲多一點水, 去多 D 廁所 :)

Relationships... with your loved one, with your friends, with your family, and with all people in general are supposed to improve when you become and grow as a true Christian.

Why?

Because the more you love and know who God really is and how great He is, the more humble you will become. Nothing destroys your relationship with God more than your selfish desires, and the only way to grow spiritually is to surrender more and more to God: "He must increase, but I must decrease". (John 3:30)

And as you become more humble, you will begin to learn to consider others first before yourself, and to learn to love selflessly. How can your relationships not improve when you know how to do this? When you think about it, all human relationships, big or small, fail because of just one simple reason: people thinking of themselves more than of others.

So.... This thing I learned:

That the ultimate gauge of your relationship with God is the quality of your relationships, because it's a gauge of how much you are willing to give up yourself. Giving up yourself is often very hard, but when we can learn this art and do it consistently, improved relationships are the sure blessings you will get.

Isn't God's design just perfect? :) You want a better life? Give up yourself and follow Me.

受難節

今晚 Jean 姐請我去了西人 church 一個很特別, 很動人的受難節 service...

程序很簡單, 就是重複間斷地讀一篇耶穌受難的情節, 唱一首回應歌, 再做一個簡單的禱告 。但每當禱告完以後, 他們就會熄滅一枝蠟燭及某一角的燈光。一步一步地聽著耶穌走進黑暗, 我們也依稀的感受到。直至祂釘死的那一幕, 整個地方都一遍漆黑, 很震撼...

台上, 一個生滿白髮的老婆婆一路彈著美妙的鋼琴一路唱, 一個中年女人拿著大提琴伴奏。在她們的旁邊, 那女主音坐著, 用她像天使般的歌聲帶領著會眾敬拜。她們令我真正感受到什麼才是真誠、誠實的敬拜, 是多麼的用心, 卻也是多麼的謙卑。歌沒有什麼特別, 卻能令人差點兒落淚。

The art of losing myself

Just read from a book which quoted another book:

"A real barrier preventing Christians from enjoying the rest that Jesus promised is self-effort. Many have been so conditioned to believe that they must "do something for God" that they are constantly struggling to do more and more. Many have rededicated self to God again and again. Yet self is what stands in the way of victorious Christian living. As long as we struggle to live the Christian life, Christ is hindered from living it through us." (Steve McVey, Grace Walk)

Then it continued:

"Jesus does not want to help you be patient, kind, or forgiving. Jesus wants to live His patience, kindness, and forgiveness through you. There is a major difference between these."

That was enlightening.

Again, it's the art of losing myself.

The I Heart Revolution

這是 Hillsong 最近的一個 movement, 走遍世界不同的角落, 用敬拜來改變這個世界, 用愛來改變生命。The I "heart" revolution; The "I love" revolution; 是以「我愛」為行動的一場革命。

Let's join the revolution. But first let's start with our own backyard.

因為在神國的，正是這樣的人

今天去了英文崇拜, 大概有十幾個小朋友和青年人接受浸禮, 實在太感人了...

須然從幾歲到十幾歲不等, 每一個人都有他自己獨特引人落淚的故事, 而每一個都訴說著神對他們的愛。每一個都這麼純潔, 每一個信心都這麼堅定, 每一個都經歷過神對他們生命的改變。有些年紀輕輕, 卻已幾經風雨, 但仍然勇敢地走在純潔的路上, 不讓自己走歪。看似最脆弱的身體, 但心靈最強壯的, 卻是今天這班年青人。

就像一個朋友那裡提到的那段聖經:「因為，耶和華不像人看人：人是看外貌；耶和華是看內心。」 (1Samuel 16:7)

耶穌也說:「讓小孩子到我這裡來，不要禁止他們；因為在神國的，正是這樣的人。」(Mark 10:14)

感人的場面, 但亦帶很多搞笑活潑的插曲, 整個地方的氣氛充滿了愛, 溫暖和開心。仿佛神也在那裏跟我們一起微笑一樣。

最後, 我們竟然唱了最近勁感動我的 Amazing Grace (My chains are gone) by Chris Tomlin。又是 Amazing Grace... 神的恩典往往 surprising, 但也很美麗。

Live by Grace

簡單來講:

基督徒的生命不是靠努力或意志力; 如果是的話就完全 miss 晒神個 point; 好人做唔到一來, 二來愛人會愛得很累, 很快就會心灰意冷; 最後更加享受不到神曾應許的豐盛生命和自由。

基督徒的生命是一個「降服」(surrender) 的生命。放下自我, 放下私慾, 拿著掏空了的心來尋求神, 神就會給你看見。祂會給你一個柔軟的肉心, 然後愛、喜樂的微笑、心靈的平安、聖潔的思想、及所有所有能夠滿足心靈和造就別人的東西, 都會從你的內心, 由內至外地流露出來, 很自然, 絕對不用假裝。很多事情, 不再是因為你覺得應該要做, 而是你想去做。去愛你身邊的人, 不再是一種責任, 而是你的渴望。這豈不是一種福份嗎?

這就是靠著神的恩典而活 (Live by grace), 也是基督徒應有的生活方式。耶穌說: "“If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me."

有多少人真的能夠每天都 "deny himself"?

講到恩典 (grace), 我覺得 Amazing Grace 這首歌就真的完全表達了什麼叫 surrender 的生命... 可能這就是它永垂不朽的原因, 到現在還能感動千千萬萬的心。
