I GOT IN !!!!!!!! :)) Thank you God ~ thank you Lorraine, Jean... This is only the beginning, please lead me on...

Wing, your meticulous train of thought just blows me away... I am so glad to have a brother like you who challenges the intellectual aspect of my life, I still have so much I need to learn from you... And I see that God works and relates to people in so many different ways, but in the end it's the same conclusion: that You are the most awesome God there is. Whether it's intellectually, artistically, emotionally or spiritually, everywhere there are signposts pointing to You.

I really dread the situation of being alone or chatting alone with a person, especially if I can foresee there will be long moments of "dead air".....

Why??

Relational skills... who teaches these things?

I really miss the time at Claycroft... There's always somebody in the kitchen to have dinner together, to chat together, to watch TV and just hang around together.

Really enjoyed the CCF today... I really enjoyed our sharing of experiences, of deep things. I really feel I understand you guys better, and I feel I grew closer to you guys. Thanks for the wonderful time. Thanks for creating the real harmony, not artificial harmony.

Today you made me think of my past relationship... If there is one lesson I've learned, it's what Alfred once said that I've always kept on my mind. You know that she is the one when you feel that you are ready to give up yourself for her, to selflessly love her. And don't be anxious to date until you've realized that giving her your love because she is worth it should always be the reason to date, not satisfying your desperate hearts for intimacy...

Complicated relationships.... are so complicated. Is that person happy today? Sad? Can't tell... Am I saying the right thing? Am I offending her? Oh man, so tiring!! Why am I so bothered anyway?

Bible verse of the day from Facebook, this one really hit me: "Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says." (James 1:22)

Learning to "do small things with great love", as Mother Teresa once said...

I believe in the power of the mustard seed. :)

Just auditioned today... Was kinda nervous doing this for the first time, especially so many people eating lunch downstage at the same time and listening all of the mistakes... >< It was quite fun though, see what God brings.

Pinga, you add oil too!! Looking forward to serving together! :)

Love is fire, love is water

Stephen, thanks for the wonderful talk today... I just loved the way you expressed it.

Love, without God, is like the remnants of a fire. People know how to give love, because they are first loved... the love of a mother, the love of a brother and friends, the love of your partner. They love, provided this love is reciprocated. Love is like a fire that spreads through a network, but it's a remnant. How many people have grown exhausted of giving, and loving without return, until one day she finally erupts, and decides to love no more, because no one reciprocates. Loving people whom we like is easy, but how many people can really love people that don't deserve our love? But God says, when we are willing, He will use us as a constant source of a fire that burns incessantly, bringing warmth to all people around us.

Love is also like water, soft and flowing. We can choose to be a lake, keeping the water to ourselves; or we can choose to be a stream, carrying the flowing water to whomever is in need. But Jesus goes even further: "Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life." (John 4:14)

Do you want to be a stream, or a spring?

This Pastor has guts

From Alan Yu's facebook post:

This is a Prayer given in Kansas at the opening session of their Senate. It seems Prayer still upsets some people. When Minister Joe Wright was asked to open the new session of the Kansas Senate, Everyone was expecting the usual generalities, But this is what they heard:

"Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, "Woe to those who call evil good," but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values.

We have exploited the poor and call it lottery.
We have rewarded laziness and call it welfare.
We have killed our unborn and call it choice .
We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable.
We have neglect to discipline our children and called it building self esteem.
We have abused power and called it politics.
We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition.
We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression.
We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.

Search us, Oh, God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from Every sin and set us free. Amen!"

The response was immediate. A number of legislators walked out during the prayer in protest. In 6 short weeks, Central Christian Church, where Rev. Wright is pastor, logged more than 5000 phone calls with only 47 of those calls responding negatively. The church is now receiving international requests for copies of this prayer from India, Africa and Korea. Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on his radio program, "The rest of the Story," and received a larger response to this program than any others he has ever aired. With the Lord's help!, may this prayer sweep over our nation and whole heartedly become our desire so that we again can be called "one nation Under God." If possible please pass this prayer to everyone on your email List, in less than 30 days it would be heard by The World. How many People in your address book will not receive this prayer…..do you have the Guts to pass it on?

Parent's Wish

Thank you for the slideshow, it meant a lot to me... The timing was just right... Surely it must have come from above. Though no parent is perfect, we have what we have today because of what they have done...

Please forgive me if I haven't been patient enough...

Parent's Wish

To our dear child:

On the day when you see us old, weak and weary...
Have patience and try to understand us.

If we get dirty when eating
If we cannot dress on our own
Please bear with us and remember the times we spent
Feeding you and dressing you up.

If, when we speak to you,
We repeat the same things over and over again,
Do not interrupt us, listen to us...
When you were small, we had to read to you the same story
A thousand and one times until you went to sleep.

When we do not want to have a shower,
Neither shame nor scold us...
Remember when we had to chase you
With your thousand excuses to get you to the shower?

When you see our ignorance of new technologies,
Help us navigate our way through those worldwide webs
We taught you how to do so many things,
To eat the right foods, to dress appropriately,
To fight for your rights.

When at some moments we lose our memory
Or the thread of our conversation
Let us have the necessary time to remember.
And if we cannot, do not become nervous,
As the most important thing is not our conversation
But surely to be with you
And to have you listening to us.

If ever we do not feel like eating,
Do not force us.
We know well when we need to
And when not to eat.

When our tired legs give way
Do not allow us to walk without a cane.
Lend us your hand
The same way we did
When you tried your first faltering steps.

And when someday we say to you
That we do not want to live anymore,
That we want to die,
Do not get angry
Someday you will understand.

Try to understand that our age
Is not just lived but survived.
Someday you will realize that
Despite our mistakes
We always wanted the best for you
And we tried to prepare the way for you.

You must not feel sad, angry nor ashamed
For having us near you.
Instead, try to understand us
And help us like we did when you were young.

Help us to walk,
Help us to live the rest of our life with love and dignity
We will pay you with a smile
And by the immense love
We have always had for you in our hearts.

We love you, child.

是「不止息的飢渴」;
是生命的花;

你的心就不會懂得起舞;

你的心就不會懂得付出;

它將藏在寒冬的雪下;

There seem to be so many commitments this summer... TODO list:

2. Find conference to go to, and hopefully publish a paper
3. Quasi-clique paper with Chris
4. Find job

Friends:
1. Best man for Wing & Shirley's wedding

Training:
1. Campus Ministry Training
2. Soundlives Training
3. CCCMI Worship Camp

Serve:

2. Worship leading at Alpha Course
3. Church summer camp worship
4. Church morning choir
5. Saturday tutoring at AFC (can take a break soon, since they are closing for summer...)

Handle

All I have in You is more than enough for me.

Leadership camp & Jubilant... Let's see how...

Enough - Chris Tomlin
Chorus:
All of You is more than enough
For all of me
For every thirst and every need
You satisfy me with Your love
And all I have in You
Is more than enough

1. You're my supply
My breath of life
still more awesome than I know
You're my reward
Worth living for
still more awesome than I know

2. You're my sacrifice
Of greatest prize
and still more awesome than I know
You’re the coming King
You are everything
and still more awesome than I know

Bridge:
More than all I want
More than all I need
You are more than enough for me
More than all I know
More than all I can see
You are more than enough
