Religion

I have recently become very wary of doing "religious activities" for the sake of just doing them... I wonder whether people actually think about the real purpose behind them, and what fruits we are bearing by doing them... Why is it so easy to lose focus on what is most important? Why is it that we try to box God in, and ask Him to "gladly accept" our religious activities? What does that mean? Who here is in control?

I am also starting to notice the danger of doing religious activities to ease our consciousness, thinking that we should be doing something for God, so let's just "keep busy" at church. It is all too much easier to keep busy for God than to obey what He's really telling you to do...

Religion is a lie of the devil... God never asked us to join His religion, He only asked us to follow Him.
